Asparagus and Artichoke Pizza

This asparagus and artichoke pizza is a unique pizza that’s sure to garner rave reviews – once you try asparagus on pizza you’ll never be able to go back to the standard pizza toppings again! This pizza features Sonoma Gourmet Pizza Sauce, plenty of melted cheese, fresh asparagus and marinated artichoke hearts. If artichokes are in season, feel free to use fresh artichokes instead of the jarred variety.

Serves: 6


  • 1 lb pizza dough

  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup Sonoma Gourmet Pizza Sauce

  • 1 cup marinated artichoke heart (drained)

  • ⅓ cups finely grated parmesan cheese

  • ½ lb asparagus stalks (trimmed, lightly steamed)

  • 1 tbs chopped parsley


1. Preheat the oven to 450° F

2. Form a large round or rectangle with the pizza dough, and top with the sauce. Add the mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top of the sauce.

3. Arrange the asparagus stalks in a decorative pattern on top of the cheese. Scatter the artichoke hearts between the asparagus.

4. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until crust is browned and cheese is melted. Top with parsley and serve immediately.
